Rachel Anne Morrison '05 Science Lab
The Academy’s new state-of-the-art science lab is completed and has opened for the 2025-2026 academic year. Our laboratory includes six student learning stations, accommodating up to 24 students, and is equipped with new equipment and instrumentation, a 75-inch flat-screen TV, supplies and materials, and a designated teaching station.
Our new laboratory is named in memory of Rachel Anne Morrison, Class of 2005 valedictorian, a 12-season runner, and active member of the NDA community during her time as a student. Rachel had a lifelong passion for the sciences, and this new space serves today’s students with hands-on discovery, learning, and innovation.
NDA is grateful to the more than 250 donors who made a gift to support this $500,000 project. Through the generosity of numerous leadership donors, including John and Jeanne Morrison, our dream of a new laboratory on campus has become a reality.
During the Academy's Homecoming event on Saturday, September 27, 2025, we welcomed donors, the Morrisons, and members of our community to celebrate the opening of this new laboratory.
