Leadership & Awards

The Academy of Notre Dame relies on a strong network of alumni who give of their time to support the extraordinary NDA experience. Our goal is to continually strengthen the NDA community through ongoing participation and support. Volunteers help organize class reunions, participate in Thank-A-Thons, serve as mentors and campus speakers, and much more. We hope you will get involved!
Alumni ambassadors represent their class or surrounding classes and keep classmates in touch with each other and with the school by collecting class notes and updated contact information and sharing news from the campus.  Many Alumnae ambassadors also assist in keeping classmates and friends engaged with the Academy in support of the Annual Fund. Help us recognize community members who embody the mission and values of NDA.  In preparation for the return of the Blue & Gold Gala Auction, we are seeking nominations for three awards: 


Sister Kathryn McGuiggan Service Award  

The Academy of Notre Dame Alumni Association established this award in 2015 in honor of Sr. Kathryn McGuiggan, SNDdeN, NDA’s former President.  This award is presented to a community member whose life reflects the ideals and mission of the Academy in church and community activities, in professional accomplishment, personal life and/or service to the Academy. St. Julie Alumna/us of the Year Award

St. Julie Billiart, SND, was a leader in Christian education. Through her personal qualities of faith, simplicity, imagination and commitment, St. Julie had the courage to assume the role of a Christian leader.

 

Named for the foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the St. Julie Alumna/us of Year Award personifies the NDA mission and the hopes that the Academy has for its graduates.  The ideal candidate is an alumna/us who has demonstrated vocational accomplishment, a commitment to community service, a dedication to Christian values, and ongoing loyalty to the Academy. Community Partner of the Year Award

This award honors local businesses, community organizations, or agencies that have demonstrated excellence as a partner in NDA’s mission to educate the whole person for life and have embraced the Hallmarks of a Notre Dame de Namur Learning Community. Nominate a Community Partner here.
