Camp NDA at a Glance
Each week at Camp NDA will be jam packed with physical activity, creative projects, time in the natural environment and creating lasting friendships.
Camp Details:
Each Day will include:
Nature’s Explorers: Daily, campers will spend time exploring our 200+ acre campus. Ponding for creatures and aquatic plants in our pond and tree, skat and print identification on our trails, as wekk as planting in our geodome.
Backyard Games: Campers will learn the basic rules of games like cornhole, badminton, freeze tag, Red Rover and many more. Movement, applying rules and sportsmanship will be a key component as well.
Build/Paint/Create: Whether it is acrylics on canvas, simple woodworking projects, or making paper from pulp, campers will get their hands dirty and their creativity flowing. Drawing technique, color wheels, and simple engineering will be used in this block.
Sports & Fitness: It is so important to stay physically and mentally active and well! Campers will learn to play as a team in games like kickball, pickleball, and tennis baseball. We will also spend some time with meditation and relaxation, positive affirmations and some simple yoga.
Choice Block*: Each week camper's will have a choice block to do what they love best. Options include Spoonful of Fun, All Star Fundamentals, Fold-Cut-Create, Mini Playmakers, Passport to Adventure, Groove & Move, Bricks and Beyond

Every Wednesday will be WACKY WATER WEDNESDAY! Campers should wear a swimsuit so they can have fun with water games, sprinklers and slip & slide.

Week Seven August 4 - 8: Fold-Cut-Create, Passport to Adventure, All Star Fundamentals
- Cross-age mentoring, when possible
- Prompt and guide use of conflict-resolution skills in peer disputes
- Encouraging the use of words to identify feelings and triggers
- Using the power of praise
- Weekly discussions to teach, discuss, and practice specific SEL skills
- Lunch and snacks. Parents please note that we are VERY busy during the day so be sure to pack plenty of healthy snacks and lunch -- your camper is going to be burning a lot of calories each day.
