I was looking for the personalized experience and I was looking for the small class sizes and I was looking for a better way for me to learn because Public School wasn't working for me. I knew when I walked in these buildings that this is where I wanted to be because of the people that I met because of the programs that I saw offered here and I knew that this was a place where I could thrive. The small class sizes have made a tremendous impact on the way I learn. The teachers genuinely know who you are you're not just another student. The teacher learn who you are what your interests are and the way you like to learn. I'm a visual learner so my teachers know that and they personalize their teachings around the way I learn. This school has given me the confidence to become a leader and they've taught taught me how to stay organized how to stay on task how to stay disciplined and I'm extremely thankful for those opportunities that I wouldn't have gotten at a different School. I knew coming into high school that I wanted to go into business in college so I knew that math was going to be a huge subject for me and the student services office has personalized my schedule to have math be the center of my learning and I'm able to take a certain class by my senior year to get enough credits that I'm prepared for my college experience. My academics (grades) have gone way up from when I was in a public school. I have gotten into so many more extracurriculars. NDA has made every single kid who has walked in here feel extremely welcome. Many of the friends that I've met the first day freshman year are still my best friends now. I would encourage any student to come here socially or academically because the academy is a community.
