23-24 Distinguished Seniors of the Month

January: Teagan Peterson

Teegan Peterson

Described as personable, compassionate and supportive to her peers, this student is an active, outgoing presence in our school community and the classroom. She embodies a positive attitude all the time. She is ready, and willing to help a teammate or classmate anyway she can. Academically she challenges herself and is always an engaged student working collaboratively with others. A well rounded student, she is involved in school clubs such as Yearbook and Slam poetry. Outside of school, she volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club, Fresh Start Food Gardens, and goes on mission trips through her church parish. She finds time to also contribute through leadership roles at school. She is Captain of the Alpine Ski Team, Captain of the Soccer team, Captain of the Tennis Team, Senior Class President, and a member of National Honor Society  and Spanish Honors Society. We are excited to congratulate Teagan Peterson as January’s Distinguished senior!

 

December: Kelsey Branco

NDA is pleased to announce the Distinguished Senior Award fKelsey Brancoor the month of December. This personable young lady has a zest for life as she always radiates a positive school spirit and she greets all with a smile.  She is encouraging, supportive, motivated and highly creative.   Her leadership skills are authentic and her genuine heart is felt by all who know her.  She is talented on the stage as well as on the field.   She is always willing to help out where needed.  Whether that is on the soccer field, on the stage, in the art room, or around the school.  She has a passion for NDA and loves this school.  Her leadership shines through as Captain of the Soccer team, Captain of the Track and Field team, NHS secretary, President and founder of slam poetry, President of the Drama Guild, Captain and choreographer of the Dance Team, and Co-President of Glee Club. She is inducted into three honor societies! Spanish, Art and National Honor! Her energy is boundless, finding time to participate in over 10 clubs in our school community. She embodies the values of St. Julie. We are pleased to say Congratulations to Kelsey Branco.

 

November: Juliocesar Martinez


Juliocesar MartinezNDA is pleased to announce the Distinguished Senior Award for the month of November. This personable young man is described as hard working, humble and sincere. Four years ago, this student was a shy freshman who approached each day with a smile and a positive school spirit. Today, he is one of the most respected students in our school community. He is a school ambassador, a devoted member of our church community and will serve as the captain of NDA's first varsity basketball team. He is Vice President of the Spanish Honor Society, a member of Yearbook Club, Campus Ministry, NDA Mentors and Discog. Young students look up to him; they gather around him in the hallways, yet he does not carry an ego. This student  possesses a giant heart and a loving sense of humor. He sees the joy in difficult situations and thinks about the world critically in a way that requires maturity. We are proud of him and we will miss him when he is gone. Congratulations to Juliocesar Martinez.

October: Phay Meh

This amazing,Phay Meh kind hearted senior is described as being hard working and very creative. She loves to read, her work is sophisticated and consistently well done as she has a true passion for knowledge.  She is thoughtful and appreciates all that she has and cares deeply for her family and friends. Her warm heart is so very genuine and she does all with a sense of grace and efficacy.  Her bright smile and her quiet nature is respected amongst her peers. This senior is described as having a positive attitude and is the first to volunteer to help with any senior related activities, especially helping with the yearbook to be organized and getting started. She is a member of the Book club, Cooking club, Slam Poetry, and a member of the Tennis team. She is very engaged in the French Honor Society and French club! Congratulations to Phay Meh!

September: Valery MarroValery Marroquinquin

 

It is my pleasure to announce the Distinguished Senior Award for the month of September. This senior is described as being a mature, polite and very hard working student. She possesses leadership skills that enable her to work well independently and cooperatively with others. She has a positive school spirit and embraces the NDA community.  Her teachers say the following about her: She has been an unsung leader of her class for several years because she works not for recognition, but for the good of others and from the kindness in her heart. She is very humble and always works quietly  behind the scenes to make a difference at school. She is dependable and has a positive attitude in everything that she does. As Vice President of the senior class, she takes her duties seriously. She works to bring people together and to enhance everyone’s experience at NDA. Congratulations to Valery Marroquin!
