Camp NDA Offers a Summer of Fun for Everyone

Hike, build, paddle and explore your way into adventure this summer, as the Academy of Notre Dame (NDA) continues to enrich minds, foster friendships and teach new skills at Camp NDA!

For years, Camp NDA has been providing athletic, science and nature-themed summer camp opportunities for hundreds of kids on the 200+-acre campus in Tyngsboro. NDA hosts programming for eight weeks during the summer for boys and girls ages 6 to 12 and a Tiny Campers program for kids ages 3 to 5.

An Early Bird Discount will be applied to all registrations received by April 11.

This year, Camp NDA introduces a new opportunity for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 14. Attend camp as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) and receive half off regular camp prices (Adventure Camp excluded), while growing leadership skills. Help lead team-building activities, assist counselors to deliver programs, and enjoy bonding time with each other!

Director of Camp NDA, Jocelyn Saltzman, is excited usher in the new CIT program.

“We have been looking at many different options for our older campers, but this stuck out in particular as one environment that the campers would thrive in,” says Saltzman. “Fully participating in camp, while having a leadership role can break the kids out of their comfort zone and get them more involved in all the activities offered.”

Camp NDA is designed for kids of all ages to encourage creativity and exploration through a skills-based program. Through various weekly themes, campers will be able to independently discover and explore with various hands-on activities relating to the theme.

“This summer we have it all, with choices from Wilderness Camps to Science and Technology Camp to Adventure Camp!” enthused Saltzman. "Due to its increasing popularity, our Wilderness Camp has been expanding each year--our campers love the outdoor activities, including shelter-building, friction-fires, outdoor cooking, dissections, tracking, plant identifications, macroinvertebrate hunts, and much more. When offered as choices, these activities enable campers to take ownership over their experiences! This summer, each camp week will encourage campers to choose their own adventures!"

The Main Camp, for children 6 to 12 years old, and Tiny Campers, for ages 3 to 5, begins June 24 and runs for seven weeks; camp is not in session the week of July 1. A “Swing into Summer” week is also offered for both camps from June 17-21 to cover the week between the end of school and the start of summer programming. Options for full and half day sessions are also extended for the Main Camp and Tiny Campers, starting June 24. Early and late care is offered for all ages.
Each of the programs offered at Camp NDA are fun, engaging and challenging opportunities. Remember to register by April 11 to receive the Early Bird Discount. To register, call (978) 649-7911, Ext. 313 or visit www.ndatyngsboro.org/summercamps.
