One only has to look at the sometimes faded photographs of alumnae to see a great similarity to the fresh, young faces who are now just beginning their Academy experience: the light of eagerness to serve, to lead lives of purpose—equipped with one of the finest preparatory educations available.
Those of you who have passed through “the Gates” for the last time and are now ensconced in professional lives, busy families, community and church activities, appreciate how the Academy has helped shape who you are today: a spiritually grounded citizen who understands that giving is not just a family affair, but can even extend to global proportions.
Through our development efforts, we reach out to all of you who have already “paid forward” and say “thanks from the heart.” To others who may have wondered where to best serve the next generation of Academy students, your unique method of “paying forward” may mean just picking up the phone—or e-mailing us—and allowing us to help you make that determination. Rest assured, it’s as easy as turning back the hands of time and remembering what the value of the Notre Dame Advantage has meant to you. As St. Julie so eloquently, and simply, stated, “Teach them what they need for life.” Today, one of those lessons might certainly be to give back to the Academy, in appreciation for the experience it so generously afforded you.
