The Middle School Program

The Academy’s Middle School program provides students an outstanding opportunity for challenging course work in humanities, math and science along with our unique ETCH (Explore, Think, Challenge, and Hone) classes to help students explore new disciplines, think critically, challenge themselves and hone skills. Scheduling is designed to meet the individualized needs of students based on their learning readiness, and for students who qualify in math and English, advanced study is offered through the REACH program. STEAM-based learning experiences are incorporated into every classroom, most especially in the newly upgraded science lab and the brand new makerspace.

Our mission-driven and values-based education focuses on faith formation, character building, cultural diversity, and community service that is unparalleled in other schools. Your child will blossom in an environment that encourages the virtues of hard work, perseverance, respect, justice, and service to others. The classroom and daily schedule provide an orderly learning process with the flexibility to ensure your child refines his/her voice and utilizes his/her gifts, imagination and curiosity, in a close-knit community where learning is challenging and fun.

The Academy’s 6th - 8th grade program combines over 150 years of tradition with the latest innovations, including interactive Star Board technology in many classrooms. At the Academy, your child will blossom in a learning environment that promotes academic excellence in a kind and caring community.
