Lower School Athletic Program

Girl playing basketballPhysical Education Classes are offered for each grade level, with challenges that are developmentally-appropriate for your child. Physical fitness, coordination, and positive self-esteem are emphasized throughout the lower school years, along with character formation in facing challenges and behaving with good sportsmanship skills. Students learn sports – how to play properly and how to understand rules – with weekly opportunities to play cooperatively and competitively.

Competitive Teams enhance skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play, and physical fitness, along with school pride. Students from Grade 5 through Grade 8 can compete on Academy teams that play against other private schools through the Ecumenical Athletic Association (EAA) league. Learn more about the sports offered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. All lower school students can play on Tyngsboro town teams -- recreational and travel. In addition, students can join a variety of intramural and enrichment activities such as soccer, basketball, kickball, and karate.

Ski Enrichment Program A six-week ski/snowboard program begins the first Friday in January, and runs through mid-February, with a large percentage of students in Grades 3-8 – along with faculty and parents – on Friday bus trips to Mount Wachusett.
