Upper School Admissions Information

Admissions Process for Upper School

The standard application process involves a series of steps that begin in the fall, culminate in the December 31st application deadline, with early March admissions decisions. The Academy also welcomes transfer students throughout the year. 

For those seeking fall admissions:

  1.  Visit during one of the fall/winter Open House events. 
  2.  Set up a personal tour, and/or attend morning classes and lunch with a host student for a Shadow Day. Contact the Admissions Office to schedule your Shadow Day.
  3.  Only incoming freshmen are required to take the Boston Archdiocesan High School Placement Test. The test is administered in November and December at the Academy, and you must register with the Admissions Office.
  4.  Apply Online or Download the High School Application and important Admissions paperwork.  Please gather the following information to submit with your completed application by December 31st:
  • Completed Application
  • Application Essay
  • Copy of the applicant’s complete 6th, 7th and 8th grade officialschool transcripts
  • Copy of all standardized testing results for 6th, 7th and 8th grade
  • One letter of recommendation from the principal or guidance counselor

Admissions Process for Transfer Students

  1. Set up a personal tour, and/or attend morning classes and lunch with a host student for a Shadow Day. Contact the Admissions Office to schedule your Shadow Day.
  2. Apply Online or Download the application materials. Please gather the following information to submit:
  • Completed Application
  • Application Essay (3rd page of Application)
  • Copies of official school transcripts from the current academic year along with the prior two academic years
  • Copy of all standardized testing results for 7th, 8th and 9th grade including the PSAT (if applicable).
  • One letter of recommendation from the principal or guidance counselor
  • Copy of current school profile
  • Copy of course descriptions
