Q: Does the Academy of Notre Dame offer a tuition discount to families with more than one child enrolling in/attending the school?
A: Although it is not the Academy's policy at this time to offer a sibling discount on tuition in these instances, we will look more closely at the needs of our families with more than one child at the Academy for tuition assistance. Families must apply for tuition assistance through the FACTS program for consideration.
The Academy of Notre Dame is partnered with FACTS Management Company for our tuition payment program and our financial aid program.
Tuition Payment Program
FACTS provides the Academy with secure and convenient payment processing and the latest information technology. The system is used by many schools locally and over 5,000 schools nationally. By combining forces with FACTS we are able to provide greater efficiency and convenience to our families. To set up your tuition payment program, please sign up through FACTS using the following link: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3GNZD
Tuition Assistance Programs
The Academy is committed to providing tuition assistance to as many eligible families as possible. Assistance may be awarded in two ways: financial aid or scholarships/grants. Some students may be eligible for both. See below for details on each of the programs:
Financial Aid for Grades 1 - 12
Tuition assistance through financial aid is available for families of students in grades 1 – 12 who show need as determined by information provided on the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment application. In the review of financial aid applications, the Academy differentiates between necessary expenses and money spent for lifestyle choices. With respect to the latter, the Academy of Notre Dame will not provide aid to offset “lifestyle” expenditures that could have been directed to education.
For your convenience, applicants can apply online using the same website used for the FACTS Tuition Management system. Log in at https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3GNZD beginning on December 18.
Applications and all supporting documentation must be mailed directly to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. All application questions should be directed to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Customer Service at 866.315.9262 or by e-mail. A new application must be submitted annually.
Scholarships and Grant Applications for Incoming Freshmen
The Academy offers a limited number of scholarships and grants to 9th grade applicants. Since a separate exam is not given for this, the percentile score on the High School Placement Test (HSPT) is used to initially rank applicants. Academic scholarships and grants are awarded to incoming high school students who score in the highest percentiles of the HSPT. Many are renewable for the four years of high school, as long as the student maintains good grades and becomes involved in the life of the school.
To be considered for scholarships and grants, please complete the following:
- Take the Archdiocese of Boston High School Placement Test;
- Complete the Scholarship/Grant Application Form by December 31st (Forms are available in both the Admissions and Finance Offices as well as at Open Houses and on HSPT exam days); and
- Send the completed application, application essay, 7th and 8th grade transcripts, standardized testing results and one teacher recommendation to the Admissions Office by December 31st.
Although scholarships and grants are awarded primarily for academic performance, financial need may also be considered if the applicant has already submitted the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment application (outlined in Financial Aid above).
Students qualifying for these scholarships and grants will be notified after the acceptance process is complete. If you have any questions regarding tuition assistance, please contact the Finance Office at 978.649.7611, Ext. 315.
